Synopsis for the long island and connecticut coastal waters.. High pressure will be in control through Wednesday night, then give way to an approaching cold front on Thursday. This cold front will weaken as it moves in Thursday into early Friday. The front will eventually dissipate south of long island Friday. Weak high pressure returns from the north Friday into Friday night. Another low pressure system approaches from the west for Saturday. Its associated cold front moves across Saturday night. Weak high pressure returns for Sunday before more frontal systems potentially impact the area for early next week.
